The location is excellent! With trams right outside for easy travel. The staff is also friendly and accommodating.
Expect some noise from the street, and remember to book for the correct number of guests to avoid penalties.

Room was bright and clean. Location was fantastic, right beside tram stop and around the corner from U-Bahn station.
You had to pay 1 Euro each time you wanted to use the safe in the room. Also, we checked in and were given a room at the front of the hotel, facing the street. As the tram runs right past the door, the room was very noisy when the windows were open. If the windows (double-glazed) were closed, you couldn't hear anything. But we were there in high summer, and as there was no air coniditioning, it was impossible to sleep with the windows closed. So we had to open the windows, and it was extremely noisy. We did inquire after a room at the back of the building but were told that we should have specified this at time of booking and that it cost EUR 15 extra! I don't remember seeing this on the web site at the time, and I would certainly have booked a room at the back if I'd known this.

Nice big room with big windows overlooking Kastanienallee. Excellent breakfast selection with fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and pastries.
A bit old-fashioned in decor, which might not be everyone's taste. The bathroom in the Comfort Double Room had steps, limiting accessibility for some.

A bit old-fashioned decor!!! The bathroom accessibility needs improvement, especially with steps!!! The shampoo and conditioner quality falls short of expectations!!!

For European hotel rooms are large, comfortable, clean, quiet, good in room storage, outstanding breakfast and coffee, and supberb staff. There was not a question they could not answer and they were very willing to offer advice and help on travel and sites to eat. Safe & Secure environment.

Clean and nice. A room towards the street is unfortuneately a bit noisy, because of the tramway. Next time I would insist on a room towards the yard.

The area around the hotel was vibrant, full of
Good cafes and shops. The breakfast buffet was particularly noteworthy, with an excellent selection of fresh items including pastries and cheese. The room could have used more hangers in the closet to accommodate our clothes.

It was very comfortable and good value for money. The location is good, with a great variety of cafes/restaurants nearby, in an attractive laid back neighbourhood and an easy walk into Berlin Mitte to see the sights. The U-Bahn Seenfelder Strasse was 5 minutes walk away, and tram M1 goes from just outside the hotel to Hackesche Markt and Friedricstrasse station and the University, close to Unter den Linden and the central sights. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us information, speaking good English, and having tickets for the Berlin transport system on sale, as well as postcards and stamps. The breakfast was excellent.
